If you have answered yes to any of these questions this is the class for you.
This weekly class is for runners and uses the fundamentals of Pilates and good movement mechanics to help offset the rigors of running. Our objectives of this class are restoring, maintaining and enhancing performance and facilitating runners in achieving their desired outcomes. This could be helping with injury prevention, rehabilitation post injury, a maintainence programme for mobility and strength and/or helping to achieve new PB’s.
This class will suit you whether you are a competative runner or a recreational athlete who takes part in running related activities purely for the enjoyment – whatever your level of running you will enjoy this class and reap the benefits.
Debbie, a keen runner herself, competing in 5k, 10k distance and cross country, will work through movements and exercises that will help you to improve mobility in key areas such as your spine, hips and feet, strengthen important muscles such as your gluts, hamstrings and calves and give you better body awareness and balance.
In this class props such as foam rollers, weights, bands and blocks will be frequently used.
