Treatment

Due to the wide range of experience of our physiotherapists, we offer a wide range of treatments for the sports athlete.
Manual therapy is a big part of our treatment, this includes mobilisations, manipulation and massage.

We offer sports massage pre and post event and also myofascial release to help release tight muscles and ease painful areas.

Other treatments available include acupuncture, kinesio taping, electrotherapy, traction, advice re managing acute and chronic injuries and how to prevent injury. We also design individual rehab programmes.

Pilates is also a very useful treatment modality available. Classes run throughout the week and individual sessions can be organised.

More and more sports people are using pilates to help with conditioning and injury prevention. International rugby players, triathletes, runners and golfers would be the most common sports using this method at PhysioWorksNI at the moment.

Overall PhysioWorksNI is a professional and friendly clinic with a special interest in treating the sports person.

We offer a wide range of treatments and have great facilities and experienced staff to aid recovery.

Should you require any further information please contact us or call into the clinic at any time.

KINESIO TAPING

Alleviate Pain, Enhance Performance and Facilitate Rehabilitation

When an athlete suffers an injury, the outcome and implications are often more severe than for a normal person. Kinesio Taping is a new and effective treatment for muscle/joint dysfunction.
This taping method is fundamentally different to other athletic taping techniques. Using a highly elastic and unique adhesive tape called Kinesio Tex, alongside specialist Kinesio Taping applications, the method gives muscles support, even during intense activity, without affecting circulation or range of motion.

This key feature allow athletes to continue their training and sporting activities despite injury. This technique can be used to relieve pain and swelling.

Book in for an appointment with Jo-Ann or Alan if you feel Kinesio taping could help you. The Kinesio Tape is also available to buy in PhysioWorksNI - Great for Marathon Season!!
